Crazy Quilt that I finished in November, 2014.
It was stretched over a 12" canvas to display.
Front and back views shown.
I named it CQ Divas as I had recently joined the FaceBook group, Crazy Quilt Divas.
Love the group and have joined the CQJP2015 RR (Crazy Quilt Journal Project 2015: Round Robin)

My 2 Grandsons: Simon and Sam with me. The sweatshirt I have on is one we made about 15 years ago when my sister & I made sweatshirts using the footprints of our grandsons. In the photo, Simon's footprint is on the side he is standing on and Sam's on the other side. Boys were 9 & 5 years old at time we made the shirts.

An Extraordinary Christmas Eve Eve

 Christmas Eve Eve:
You know how it is when all you have to give to someone you love is a gift card.? Well, that is how it was so I asked my son, Joe, if he would like some cookies or a cherry pie for Christmas. He chose pie. Next part of the story. I went to Kroger to get the pie filling tonight. They only had 1 can. Got it and decided to go back to Walmart (where I had just finished some other shopping). They had many cans of the filling. Stood in line with the 3 cans of filling. A young man in front of me purchased his items. I looked down anticipating seeing the cashier start to scan my cans, but I noticed that the 3 cans weren't in my view. Just figured the cashier had already scanned them. Moved to up to pay for them and the young man in front of me handed me the bag with the 3 cans in it. I was dumbfounded...didn't know what to say. Was he handing me my items BUT I hadn't paid yet. Looked at the cashier and she was already starting to scan items from the customer behind me. I looked at the young man again and asked, "Did you pay for these?" He said, "Merry Christmas." I patted him on the shoulder and had tears in my eyes as I walked to my car. This happened only about an hour ago and I am still emotional about it.
There are GOOD people in the world.

                                         Here is the pie.
